Awards and AffiliationsThe Brandt Company Wins Silver Award in 22nd Annual Gold Ink Awards Competition(Philadelphia, PA) Publishing Executive, Printing Impressions and Book Business magazines, co-sponsors of the Annual Gold Ink Awards, announced that The Brandt Company has won a Silver Award. The entry, titled GemVision won in the Media Kits category. This year’s Gold Ink Award winners were chosen from over 1,000 entries submitted within 48 different categories. Winning pieces surpassed their competitors based on print quality, technical difficulty and overall visual effect. Let us toot our horn for a moment: The new Brandt Company brochure has earned an Addy® Award!
In the category of Advertising Industry Self-Promotion - Advertising Supplier Collateral, Brandt brought in the gold for its beautifully orchestrated brochure.
Award winners were announced Feb. 28 at ceremonies in The Mark of the Quad-Cities, Moline. Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the ADDY® Awards honor excellence in advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in the industry. The competition begins at the local level, with 210 member clubs nationwide. Our prestigious gold award will advance to regional competition.
The Brandt Company again earned recognition as a "Partner Supplier" for 2001 from the John Deere General Supply Management Achieving Excellence Program. The Davenport, Iowa-based company was selected in recognition of its dedication to providing products and services of outstanding quality as well as commitment to continuous improvement.
The Brandt Company is a major supplier of printing and CD-ROM services to John Deere operations in Moline, Ill.; Lenexa, Kansas; and Cary, North Carolina; and also manages John Deere's worldwide consolidation/distribution program.
Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence Program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories including quality, cost management delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.
The Brandt Company has been in business for 32 years and is the only ISO 9000-certified full-service commercial printer in the Quad-Cities area featuring a complete "Digital Workflow Solution" that includes full-color digital proofing and computer-to-plate capabilities. For many years, The Brandt Company has been a proud participant in the Junior Achievement Groundhog Day Job Shadowing project that allows students to explore career options in the Quad-City area.
Students, including a group from Williams Middle School, have visited The Brandt Company to learn about orders, film processing, press operation, binding and products.
